Banana Bread

I absolutely love the smell of banana bread baking in the oven. To me, truly nothing smells more like home. Well, maybe the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking with a fire roaring in the fireplace. Either way, delicious. My mother recently shared her recipe with me so that I too could bake this goodness in my own kitchen. Here's the recipe.

1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 mashed bananas
1 1/4 cup flour

Mix ingredients well. Grease loaf pan, bake at 350 for 45 minutes to an hour. It should be fairly brown on top. Makes one loaf.
